WHO ARE THEY?
Already well established on the European popping scene, the Danish duo Robotboys won Denmark’s Got Talent in 2008 – and from then on their career has taken wings.
Now the most frequent comments from fans all over the world are: When are you coming to my country? And where can I buy the music?
They have performed live and/or on tv in most European countries – from Norway to Italy, from UK to Lithuania, plus Russia and Kuwait. Plus a lot of the countries in between!
In 2012 Robotboys visited Egypt, Holland, Berlin (Germany), London, UK (B-Boy Championship), USA (private event), performed in 2 theater shows in Denmark and won the prestigious Copenhagen Choreographer’s Contest 2012 with their show Instrumentality.
2013 started with visits to Qatar and South Korea (for the tv show Starking). On to performance in Beat the Best in France and Supertalent in Germany, where they went straight to the semifinal – and there’s more in the pipeline: The Japanese international Daidogei World Cup with more than 2 million visitors awaits in November.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
This highly talented and hardworking duo is known and recognized globally to be one of the best in the style of Robot Dance. They are eminently versatile with a diverse selection of dance acts and themes.
A unique blend of popping, mime, clear storyline and selfmade music makes their performances stand out.
When watching the Robotboys, it appears that they are directly plugged into each others brains. Their acts are highly intelligent, complex and mesmerizing to watch – sometimes humorous, whimsical and also serious – but always complex and multilayered to create a fascinating and mind boggling effect for the audience. And often with a ”wink” to the global youth, who all share the same memories of old video games and cartoons.
WHO IS WATCHING?
Their audience is just as wide and varied as their repertoire.
More than 80 million people all over the world have watched and appreciated their many Youtube clips – and the semifinal show from Got Talent must aspire to the title “most copied Youtube clip” – no one has been able to count how many versions there are.
WHO MAKES THEIR MATERIAL?
Apart from creating all choreography themselves, this multi-talented duo compose and mix their own show music. For years fans have begged them to publish the music, and in November 2011 they released the album ROBOTBOYS – THE MUSIC
